Impact of Events Scale (IES-R)
The Impact of Events Scale-Revised (IES_R) is a questionnaire listing possible difficulties people sometimes have after traumatic or stressful life events. Dr Jerrie uses this screening tool to assist in his treatment plan.
Please read each item and indicate how distressing each difficulty, in regard to a specific traumatic event in your life, has been for you DURING THE LAST SEVEN DAYS. The questionnaire tries to gauge the event’s impact on your life over the last seven days. The traumatic event may have occurred recently, or years ago. The questionnaire tries to see how the specific traumatic event is impacting you currently.
The Impact of Events Scale questionnaire may take you between 5 minutes to 20 minutes to complete. Try to complete the questionnaire in a quiet, private area as honestly as possible.
