Psychiatric Screening Tools

Screening Tools

Dr Jerrie Bezuidenhout uses various Patient Based Outcome Screening Tools to assist in the assessment of patients.

Patient-Based Outcome Measures are questionnaires that health care practitioners use to see what patients feel their health and well-being are. These screening tools assist in the patient-clinician conversation, allowing your clinician to see how you currently feel your illness impacts different areas of your health and life. By completing these questionnaires by yourself, you have the opportunity to express exactly how you feel without interference.

Please note that these are one-sided questions. Your state of mind, frame of reference and intentions may impact your results. Dr Jerrie will discuss the results with you. These are not diagnostic tools but screening and monitoring tools. Thus, without clinical input the results are neither comprehensive nor objective representations of your illness.

Different Screening Tools:

Complete these questionnaires at a time and in a place where you will not be disturbed. By answering as honestly as possible, Dr Jerrie gets a clearer picture of you and can personalise your treatment better.

We may send you a specific questionnaire from time to time for treatment purposes.
