Welcome to Dr Jerrie in a Nutshell Psychiatric Practice! We look forward to seeing you as a new patient for your first appointment. The first appointment is an hour, whereafter Dr Jerrie will let you know how often follow-up appointments are needed for your treatment plan. 

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel/reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 2 business days in advance, or you will be held liable for the full consultation cost.

We are located in room 9B at Vista Clinic.

Complete before your appointment:

Admin Information:

    1. Referral letters:
      Please email referral letters from other clinicians to us from practice@drjerrie.co.za.
    2. Psychiatric Medication:
      If you are currently taking psychiatric medication, please send us your last prescription to practice@drjerrie.co.za.
    3. Patient Details: Takes about 10 minutes
    4. Story of My Life: Takes about 25 minutes
    5. Medical Aid forms: Complete and send them back to us in pdf format to practice@drjerrie.co.za.

Clinical Questionnaires:

  1. Adverse Childhood Experiences: Takes about 2 minutes
  2. Anxiety: Takes about 5 minutes
  3. Depression: Takes about 8 minutes
  4. Emotional Regulation: Takes about 14 minutes

Payment Details:

Medical Aid:

  • We charge medical aid rates.
  • We claim from your medical aid and apply for PMBs.
  • If there are no funds available, consultations are cash payments in advance which you may then claim back from your medical aid.
  • It is your responsibility to enquire from your medical aid whether specialist authorisation is required. 
  • GEMS members: Send proof of medical savings available before your appointment.
  • We charge all medical aid rates. KeyCare and KeyHealth members need to get authorisation and send it to us before your appointment.

Private paying patients: 

Payment due before consultation (EFT/Card Payment at practice).
